A musical celebration of our Conductor, Keith Yearsley's 90th birthday! Featuring some of his favourite pieces from his many years with the choir. Including excerpts from Bach's "Elijah Mass" in b-minor, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's "Hiawatha", excerpts from Gabriel Faure's "Requiem", Stanford's "Te Deum", and Johannes Brahms "How Lovely are thy Dwellings". Plus a couple of surprise items! There will be a short interval.
Soloists will be Thomas Ayebara (bass), Margaret Ferguson (Soprano), and Philip Cartwright (Tenor).
Former Oriana Choir members are cordially invited to take part in the celebrations, and would be very welcome. Please contact Keith if you are interested, on 01625 424215. Rehearsals for the event take place on Friday evenings, 8pm - 9.30pm, at the
Salvation Army Hall, Roe Street Macclesfield.
